Katey specialises in assisting companies seeking public and private equity and venture capital funding, undertaking mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate restructuring. She also regularly advises on data protection matters including the GDPR and the UK's Data Protection Act 2018.
Katey has particular expertise in advising tech start-up companies and also provides commercial advice to a range of clients including SaaS businesses (in markets including martech, fintech, social prescribing and private medical services), designers and marketing agencies.

Following a degree in English Literature at the University of Edinburgh, Katey worked in Japan for 3 years where she became a fluent Japanese speaker. She returned to the UK and graduated with a first class degree in the Master of Legal Science course at Queens University Belfast and completed the Institute of Professional Legal Studies with a distinction. Katey joined Forde Campbell in 2010 and has been a director of the firm since December 2017.
