Rory has acted for a range of suppliers, including service suppliers and licensors, and also public and private sector clients acting as customers including PLCs, private companies and individuals, central government departments, non-departmental public bodies, local authorities, housing associations, chartered institutes and national charities. In particular, Rory has significant experience of deals with software developers and suppliers, resellers, IT consultancy and support services suppliers, website developers and hosting companies, ICT infrastructure outfitters, VOIP, dark fibre and general telecoms suppliers.

Born in Belfast in 1967 and educated at Cambridge University and the College of Law London, Rory qualified in English law and practised in London with the international City law firm Trowers & Hamlins until July 2007 before returning to Northern Ireland to join the firm in September 2007.
Rory is a member of the Society for Computers and Law, and is co-author of the Intellectual Property Rights chapter of Local Government Contracts and Procurement (2nd edition, Tottel 2007).
